Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen an Maße und Werkstoffeigenschaften für Schäfte, die in der Zahnheilkunde für rotierende und oszillierende Instrumente verwendet werden, fest. Es beschreibt die Messverfahren zur Überprüfung der Anforderungen.
Dieses Dokument ist nicht anwendbar auf Spitzen, die im Handstück mit einer Schraube befestigt werden, z. B. Scalerspitzen.
Informationen über den Bereich für die Kennzeichnung werden angegeben. Anhang A zur Qualitätskontrolle wurde aufgenommen um ein hohes Qualitätsniveau sicherzustellen.
