Die Mindestanforderungen an aufblasbare Boote mit weniger als 8 m Länge und einer Motorhöchstleistung bis 4,5 kW hinsichtlich Konstruktion, Materialeigenschaften und Verarbeitung werden festgelegt. Ausgenommen sind Ein-Kammer-Boote und aufblasbare Rettungsfloße. Die sicherheitstechnischen Anforderungen betreffen insbesondere die zulässige Personenanzahl, die Motorhöchstleistung, statische Stabilität und Festigkeiten. Die entsprechenden Prüfungsanordnungen und -durchführungen sind festgelegt. Entsprechende Hinweise für die Betriebsanleitung sind ebenfalls enthalten.
