Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von homogenen Bodenbelägen auf der Basis von Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) fest, die sowohl in Form von Platten als auch Rollen geliefert werden. Die Produkte können eine trans-parente, nicht aus PVC bestehende Oberflächenausrüstung enthalten.
Um den Verbraucher bei seiner Auswahl zu unterstützen, enthält dieses Dokument ein Klassifizierungs-system (siehe ISO 10874) auf Basis der Beanspruchung, das zeigt, wofür diese Bodenbeläge zufrieden-stellend eingesetzt werden können. Sie legt auch die Anforderungen an die Kennzeichnung fest.
