Dieses Dokument legt Anforderungen für die wiederkehrende Kontrolle, Inspektion und Prüfung von nach ISO 10855-1 gebauten Offshore-Frachtcontainern und Betriebscontainern mit einer maximalen Bruttomasse bis einschließlich 25 000 kg sowie von deren zugehörigen Anschlaggarnituren, die zur wiederholten Verwendung für den Transport zu, von und zwischen Offshore-Anlagen und Schiffen vorgesehen sind, fest. Anforderungen an die Inspektion nach Beschädigung und Reparatur von Offshore-Containern sind ebenfalls enthalten.
Empfehlungen zu den Kenntnissen und der Erfahrung des für die Inspektion von Offshore-Containern verantwortlichen Personals sind Anhang B zu entnehmen.
