Dieser Teil von ISO 14405 führt den Default-Spezifikationsoperator für lineare Größenmaße ein und legt eine Anzahl spezieller Spezifikationsoperatoren für lineare Größenmaße für Größenmaßelemente, z. B. "Zylinder", "Kugel", "Torus", "Kreis", "zwei parallele gegenüberliegende Flächen" oder "zwei parallele gegenüberliegende Geraden" fest. Er legt ebenfalls die Spezifikations-Modifikatorsymbole und die Zeichnungsangaben für diese linearen Größenmaße fest.
