Dieser Teil der ISO 6647 legt ein vereinfachtes Routineverfahren für die Bestimmung des Amylosegehalts von gemahlenem non-parboiled-Reis im Bereich des Amylosegehalts von 1 % bis 30 % fest. Als Standards zum Erstellen der Kalibrierkurve werden Reisproben verwendet, deren Amylosegehalt mit dem Referenzverfahren - Größenausschluss-Chromatographie (en: Size Exclusion Chromatography, SEC) - bestimmt wurde.
