Dieser Teil von ISO 683 enthält die technischen Lieferbedingungen für fünf Gruppen von Wälzlager-stählen, wie in Tabelle 3 aufgeführt, nämlich
- durchhärtende Wälzlagerstähle (Stähle mit ungefähr 1 % C und 1 % bis 2 % Cr),
- einsatzhärtende Wälzlagerstähle,
- induktionshärtende Wälzlagerstähle (unlegiert und legiert),
- nichtrostende Wälzlagerstähle,
- warmharte Wälzlagerstähle.
Dieser Teil von ISO 683 gilt für die in Tabelle 1 angegebenen Erzeugnisse und Wärmebehandlungs-zustände und die Oberflächenzustände nach Tabelle 2.
Zusätzlich zu diesem Teil von ISO 683 gelten die allgemeinen technischen Lieferbedingungen nach ISO 404.
