In dieser Internationalen Norm werden die Anforderungen an drei Typen von Gummischläuchen mit Textileinlage für allgemeine Anwendungen mit Wasser in einem Betriebstemperatur-Bereich von -25 °C bis +70 °C und bei einem maximalen Arbeitsdruck bis zu 25 bar festgelegt. Diese Schläuche sind nicht vorgesehen für Anwendungen zur Förderung von Trinkwasser, den Zulauf an Waschmaschinen, als Feuerwehrschläuche, für spezielle Landwirtschaftsmaschinen und als faltbare Schläuche. Die hier beschriebenen Schläuche dürfen angewendet werden, wenn das Wasser Zusätze zur Gefrierpunkts-erniedrigung enthält.
