Diese Internationale Norm legt Werkstoff, Verfahren, Maßanforderungen und einige Leistungsanforderungen für die Feuerverzinkung von Verbindungselementen aus Stahl mit Regelgewinde von M8 bis M64 und für die Festigkeitsklassen bis einschließlich 10.9 für Schrauben und 12 für Muttern fest. Feuerverzinkung wird für Verbindungselemente mit Gewinden kleiner als M8 und/oder mit Gewindesteigung unterhalb 1,25 mm nicht empfohlen.
