Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Abschätzung des Widerstandes einer Beschichtung gegen Trennung vom Substrat fest, wenn ein bis zum Substrat durchgehendes Gitter in die Beschichtung geschnitten wird. Die nach diesem empirischen Verfahren gemessene Eigenschaft hängt, neben anderen Faktoren, von der Haftfestigkeit der Beschichtung auf der vorhergehenden Schicht oder auf dem Substrat ab. Dieses Verfahren ist jedoch nicht als Verfahren zur Messung der Haftfestigkeit anzusehen. Wenn die Haftfestigkeit gemessen werden soll, kann das in ISO 4624, Paints and varnishes - Pull-off test for adhesion, festgelegte Verfahren angewendet werden. ANMERKUNG 1 Obwohl die Gitterschnittprüfung in erster Linie zur Anwendung im Laboratorium gedacht ist, ist sie auch als Feldprüfung geeignet.
