Diese Norm legt die Vorgehensweise für das Durchlichtverfahren fest, das zur Einschätzung von sichtbarem Schmutz und Splittern in Laborblättern dient, welche aus Faserstoffen hergestellt wurden. Sie ist grundsätzlich auf alle Sorten von Faserstoff anwendbar, obwohl sie hauptsächlich für Faserstoffe vorgesehen ist, die nicht in Bogenform hergestellt sind.
